Someone just shared with me the idea that this blog can be use as a communication tool for future events... It hadn't occurred to me!
So, we will be at Waldo some stretch of time between the 15th and 21st of September. Email us for more specifics.
Also, Huck and I will be in Grand Haven 22nd -29th of October! Hope to see you Michiganders then!

Crescent Creek
We had a great time on Crescent Creek.
Uncle Will was on a raft, sometimes attached to our vessel, sometimes free roaming.
Huck and parents floated the Pelican- pedal paddle boat- ideal craft for these conditions.
The weather was perfect, we even got a good bit of rain!
Only two portages and a few crashes made the trip extra interesting.
We hope to do it one more time before summer ends!

Summertime living

Boy, are the days flying by!
Lately we've been enjoying the back yard, the creek, the community garden and the play pen. Huck is 22 lbs now and standing while holding on to something. He laughs a lot and likes to hit things together.
We all went to the Olympic Trials in Eugene, it was really fun. Huck likes the javelin.
So much fun!

Back to Fossil
We took a hike with our friends Beth & Dusty, Cole & Athena last week. This shot is on Larison Cove, a beautiful mossy hike on Hills Creek.
We've taken another trip back to Eastern Oregon, this time for a wedding.
Summer has finally arrived and Little Huck's cheeks turn pink when it warms up. He's standing on his own quite a bit now when he hangs on to a support. We think he might be crawling soon- he seems to be contemplating it.

Out in the World
We've been playing around in the gardens and at the shop this week. William's learning all about tools and columbines and Skype. We had a great surprise visit with the Michigan side of the family as a Mothers & Fathers Day present. Secretly Aunt Jaclyn set up a webcam in the office of Grandma Sandie and Grandpa Dan. When Grandma sat down at the computer there was Huck looking back at her! We hope to have many such chats in the future.
To see something cool- click on the pic of us at the computer, look at Jaclyn and Dan on the screen and then again at us in the lower left corner. Peace Grandpa!
